RealCruiters and BrokerStaffer both start at $150 per lead. RealCruiters’ $150 leads can be shared with up to two other teams, and agents are pitched across 10 channels, including calls, texts and ads. BrokerStaffer emails the agents you choose about your brokerage, so every interested agent is yours alone, with their MLS production attached.
Choose RealCruiters if you want phone, text and ad outreach on top of email. Choose BrokerStaffer if you want leads no one else gets at $150, production data on every agent, and a recruiting CRM that syncs with Follow Up Boss.
BrokerStaffer vs RealCruiters at a glance
What is RealCruiters?
RealCruiters is a recruiting service from OwlDoor, a company that matches real estate agents with brokerages, teams, lenders and coaches. You pick your counties or cities, they learn your culture, splits and tech stack to write your pitch, and then they reach agents across 10 channels at once: personal phone calls, one-to-one texts, email sequences, ringless voicemail, social ads on Meta, TikTok and Instagram, LinkedIn, Google search ads, YouTube pre-roll and job boards. Agents who are interested are handed off to your calendar.
They sell two plans. The $150 plan charges per lead, and those leads may be shared with up to two other teams. The exclusive plan is $250 per recruit plus a $1,000 setup fee per county, and agents are pitched only for your team. Their site says there are no contracts, and the service is free for agents.
What is BrokerStaffer?
BrokerStaffer is agent recruiting you only pay for when it works. We build a list of the agents you want in your market from your MLS data vendor (Courted, Relitix, MarketView or BrokerMetrics) or our own agent database. We take out your current agents and anyone on your Do-Not-Contact list. Then we email each agent at their personal inbox and follow up and nurture them until they’re ready.
When an agent says they’re open to a conversation about joining you, they go to your team right away with their production and the full conversation, in a recruiting CRM that syncs with Follow Up Boss. Across our campaigns, 5 to 10% of the agents we email reply. You pay $150 per interested agent, $250 per interested agent who matches your production filters, $500 per call that shows up, or $5,000 per salaried hire.
The details, side by side
Who does the work, what you pay, what you get and how fast, line by line. Where RealCruiters doesn’t publish something, we say so.
Pricing: what $150 actually buys
On paper the price is the same. The difference is what happens to the agent after you pay. Here’s what 20 interested agents cost on each plan, using each company’s published prices.
RealCruiters’ $150 plan is the cheapest way to get 20 names, as long as you’re comfortable that two other teams may be calling the same agents. If you want those agents to yourself, their price goes to $250 per recruit plus $1,000 for every county. BrokerStaffer bills every two weeks for what we delivered, and you can pause or cancel anytime.
Shared leads vs leads that are only yours
A shared lead means the agent may hear from two or three teams in the same week. Before your first call, you’re already competing on speed and splits, and the agent learns to shop the offers.
With BrokerStaffer, the agent replied to an email about your brokerage and your offer. No one else is in that conversation. That’s why we don’t sell exclusivity as an upgrade: every lead is exclusive by the way it’s created.
Ten channels or one personal inbox
More channels means more touches, and ads can reach agents who aren’t on any list. That’s a real advantage of RealCruiters’ approach, especially for newer agents who respond to job ads.
The agents most brokers want to hire are the busiest. They screen unknown calls and scroll past recruiting ads. What they do read is a short, personal email in the inbox they actually check. We send one, follow up on our own, and keep nurturing the agents who say “not now” until they’re ready. And because we build the list with you, you decide exactly who gets reached, instead of whoever happens to click an ad.
Production data and lead quality
RealCruiters says its agents are “production-verified” using MLS volume. BrokerStaffer attaches MLS production to every interested agent, so your team sees their sales volume and transactions before the first call. On the pay per qualified lead plan, you set production filters with us and only pay for the producers you actually want to hire.
Speed: how fast each one delivers
RealCruiters says the first warm hand-off comes in under 72 hours from kickoff, with a 24-hour average match time.
BrokerStaffer is faster: you’ll see your first interested agents within 48 hours of launch, and every one is handed to your team the moment they reply.
Proof: what each one can show you
RealCruiters shows testimonials from team leaders and brokers, including one who says they added 14 producers in their first quarter, and a list of the brands their clients come from.
BrokerStaffer publishes case studies with named clients and real numbers:
Clients close 5 to 15% of the opportunities we generate. We don’t guarantee interviews or hires on our lead and call plans.
