Courted is a recruiting and operations platform built on MLS and agent data. It helps your team find the right agents, track them and draft outreach. BrokerStaffer is a done-for-you service: we email the agents you choose, follow up until they’re ready, and hand you the ones open to a conversation about joining you. You pay per result, with no monthly fee.
Choose Courted alone if you have a recruiter with time to work the list every day. Add BrokerStaffer if you want the outreach and follow-up done for you. We can pull your target list straight from Courted, so you keep the data you already pay for.
BrokerStaffer vs Courted at a glance
What is Courted?
Courted describes itself as an intelligence platform for residential real estate. It brings together listing and sales data, agent history and production, settlement data, mortgage licensing, web and social profiles, and your own brokerage operations data into one record for each agent. They say MLS listing data syncs hourly across 250+ markets, with agent history updated daily.
For brokerages, Courted offers talent tools (candidate identification, recruiting pipeline management and alerts, personalized outreach, retention and coaching, market share and agent movement data) and operations tools (recruiting-to-onboarding handoffs, commission and transaction management, and financial reporting). Its AI, CourtedAI, can draft personalized outreach in one click, suggest daily priorities and analyze your market.
Courted says more than 19,000 agents have been recruited using the platform, and it has won industry recognition, including Inman’s 2024 Innovator of the Year.
What is BrokerStaffer?
BrokerStaffer is agent recruiting you only pay for when it works. We build a list of the agents you want in your market from your MLS data vendor (Courted, Relitix, MarketView or BrokerMetrics) or our own agent database. We take out your current agents and anyone on your Do-Not-Contact list. Then we email each agent at their personal inbox, follow up, and nurture them until they’re ready.
When an agent says they’re open to a conversation about joining you, they go to your team right away with their MLS production and the full conversation, in a recruiting CRM that syncs with Follow Up Boss. Across our campaigns, 5 to 10% of the agents we email reply, and you’ll see your first interested agents within 48 hours of launch.
The details, side by side
Who does the work, what you pay, what you get and how fast, line by line. Where Courted doesn’t publish something, we say so.
Courted vs BrokerStaffer: tool vs service
The two aren’t really competing for the same job. Courted is software your team uses. It answers “who should we recruit, and when?” and gives your recruiters a system to work from. Someone at your brokerage still has to send the messages, follow up, and keep the conversation going for weeks or months until an agent is ready.
BrokerStaffer is the people and the process that do that work. We write to the agents, follow up on our own, and nurture the ones who say “not now.” Your team only steps in when an agent is ready to talk about joining you.
- Courted helps you decide who to go after
- BrokerStaffer starts and keeps up the conversations
- Your team closes the agents who raise their hand
Courted pricing vs BrokerStaffer pricing
Courted doesn’t publish prices. Its plans page says pricing scales with the size of your organization, the products you use and the markets you cover, and you book a call for a quote. That’s a subscription: you pay for access whether or not it turns into conversations.
BrokerStaffer has no monthly fee. You pay $150 per interested agent, $250 per interested agent who matches your production filters, $500 per call that shows up ($1,000 with production filters), or $5,000 per salaried hire with a one-year money-back guarantee. There’s a one-time $500 infrastructure fee and a deposit ($300, $500 or $1,000 depending on the plan) that’s refunded after your first bill. We bill every two weeks for what we delivered, and you can pause or cancel anytime.
How BrokerStaffer works with Courted
If you already use Courted, you don’t have to rebuild anything. Here’s how it works:
- You pick the agents you want in Courted, using its production data and filters
- We pull that target list into your campaign, and remove your current agents and your Do-Not-Contact list
- We email each agent at their personal inbox, follow up and nurture until they’re ready
- Interested agents go to your team right away, with their MLS production and the full conversation
- Your recruiters use Courted and our CRM, which syncs with Follow Up Boss, to close them
Your recruiters stop spending their mornings writing first messages and chasing replies. They start each day with agents who already said yes to a conversation.
Who actually does the outreach?
With Courted, your team does. CourtedAI can draft a personalized message, and that saves time, but a person still sends it, tracks it and follows up. For a brokerage with a full-time recruiting team, that can be exactly right.
Most teams we talk to don’t have that time. Recruiting happens in bursts and stops when the business gets busy. BrokerStaffer keeps it running every week, and the agents who aren’t ready today keep hearing from us until they are.
Is BrokerStaffer a Courted alternative?
Only partly. If what you want from Courted is more conversations with agents, BrokerStaffer can get you there without a subscription, using our own agent database. If you rely on Courted for retention, roster insight, offer modeling or operations, keep it. We’re not trying to replace those, and we’d rather plug into them.
Results you can check
Courted shares customer quotes, including one CEO who says a single $30M recruit paid back their annual contract 6.5 times over, and it lists brands that use the platform.
BrokerStaffer publishes case studies with named clients and real numbers:
Clients close 5 to 15% of the opportunities we generate. We don’t guarantee interviews or hires on our lead and call plans.
